2018lexusrx350l475The Lexus RX has always been a popular crossover but it would only seat five. With the new addition of the RX 350L, now larger families can enjoy the luxury and sporty styling of the five-seat RX. Adding 4.4 inches to the RX, the RX 350L adds third-row seating now accommodating up to seven passengers.

The all-new 2018 Lexus RX 350L is a three-row luxury available in two trim levels: base and Luxury. This review will focus on the Luxury trim.

Equipped with 20-inch wheels heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rear door sunshades, upgraded leather upholstery, four-way lumbar adjustment for the front seats, and heated second-row seats. This is in addition to the plentiful equipment on the base model of automatic LED headlights and high beams, LED foglights and running lights, rear privacy glass, keyless ignition and entry, tri-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, a power-adjustable steering wheel, a 40/20/40-split rear seat and a power-folding third-row seat to name just a few.

The interior quality of the 350L is outstanding. All surfaces are soft to the touch and finishes are excellent. Front and second-row seating are plenty comfortable but third-row passengers will have trouble getting in and out due to the small back door opening and the sleek roof. With the second and third seats folded, expect to get 70.7 cubic feet of cargo space.

Driving the 350L is anything but boring with quick acceleration and tight steering it will make you commute a little less humdrum. The cabin is a quiet place to enjoy the Mark Levinson, 15-speaker audio package.

Would you love a crossover but need more seating? The 2018 Lexus RX 350L Luxury might be the ticket.
