2019buickenclave475Sometimes you just need a large vehicle to get around town. Whether its cargo, passengers or both, the 2019 Buick Enclave with get you there in comfort and style. It also comes with the Buick’s signature quiet ride making it a great place to enjoy your favorite tunes or your kids latest news. Even the base trim comes with a lot of standard features like keyless entry, push-button start, hands-free trunk and infotainment goodies that include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Available in four trims: Preferred, Essence, Premium and Avenir, this review will focus on the Premium trim.

Equipped with great safety features like low-speed forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, front parking sensors, and driver-seat memory settings it also comes with luxury extras like a 10-speaker premium Bose sound system, lane departure warning and intervention, a heated steering wheel, heated seats for outboard second-row passengers, ventilated seats for the front row, and power-folding third-row seats.

My test model also came with the optional 20-inch wheels, dual moonroof and the Buick infotainment system with NAV.

2019buickenclaveintPowered by a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 302 horses and 260 pound-feet of torque, the engine gives this big car a nice burst of speed from a stop. The V6 is paired with a 7-speed automatic. Expect to get 18/city, 26/highway, and 21/combined mpg.

On the inside Buick’s active noise canceling makes the cockpit a pleasant place to be, with reduced road and engine noise. There’s plenty of quiet for you to enjoy the Bose premium audio system or your passengers, whichever is louder.

Seating is ample for seven adults with plenty of legroom fore and aft. The leather seating in my model was comfortable with heated and ventilated seats in the front and heated in the second-row. Cargo is a generous 97.6 cubic feet with both second and third row seats are folded down.

The Enclave has pretty good giddy-up and go for such a large vehicle. The V6 gives it a good burst of speed from the get-go and maintains that speed for as long as you need it. Cornering is what you would think for an SUV, in other words don’t expect the navigate windy roads at high speed but corner in average situations is steady and true.

If you have some precious cargo or regular cargo you need to move on a daily basis and want to do it in quite and calm, give the 2019 Buick Enclave Premium a look-see.
