2019subaruwrx475A new limited edition Series.Gray trim level makes its premier in 2019. Although I do my best to avoid the color gray in my hair, it looks great on the 2019 Subaru WRX. With Subaru’s all-wheel drive and strong list of safety features, the WRX makes a nice family sedan for drivers who would also like an athletic drive.

Seating five, the 2019 Subaru WRX comes in five trim levels, base, Premium, Limited, STI, and STI Limited. It also has the two limited edition add-ons, Series.Gray and Series.Gray STI. This review will focus on the Premium trim level with the addition of Series.Gray.

Some of the features of the Series.Gray package are: Recaro front seats, more durable brake pads, red brake calipers, black 18-inch wheels, keyless ignition and entry, LED foglights, and automatic bi-LED headlights that also automatically adjust for height and turn in conjunction with the steering wheel.

2019subaruwrxintEquipped with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged engine, the WRX pulls 268 horses and 258 pound-feet of torque. The engine was paired with a six-speed manual transmission which was pretty easy to operate. The clutch wasn’t too stiff and the gears meshed well. Expect to get 21/city, 27/highway, and 23/combined mpg.

The interior of the WRX is top-notch with lots of soft touch surfaces. The cabin is quiet and peaceful, without much road noise. The Subaru’s interface is very easy to use and the most important functions like radio, and climate control have easy to access knobs and buttons. Even with its sporty exterior, there is plenty of room inside for both front and backseat passengers.

Even cargo has plenty of room with 12-cubic feet and a 60/40 split backseat. There are a number of cupholders and small spaces for storing your what-nots.

The WRX has got the go with quick acceleration from a stop. Cornering is tight and there’s a lot of communication between the driver and the wheels.

When looking for a family sedan, that’s a bit sporty too, the 2019 Subaru WRX Series.Gray might just fit the bill.
